Kathleen Keating

New London — Kathleen “Kathy” Mary Keating, 84, formerly of New London, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London.

She was born Jan. 14, 1934, in New London, the daughter of John J. and Pauline (Wollschlager) Keating. Kathy worked at several local businesses prior to her employment at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital as a computer operator before moving on to Middlesex Hospital in Middletown.

After retiring, she enjoyed traveling with her same group visiting numerous countries, including Norway, England, Scotland, Wales, Northern and southern Ireland, Belgium, Holland, Spain, Egypt, Israel, Morocco and Gibraltar. She also took many cruises throughout the Caribbean.

Her brother John V. Keating of New London survives her. A brother, Paul Keating, predeceased her.

Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Thursday, Aug. 2, at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, at St. Joseph Church, New London. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Jefferson Avenue, New London.
