Roger Wilson Sr.
Montville — Roger Lynwood Wilson Sr., 83, of Oakdale, passed away peacefully at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018.
He was born to Robert and Pearl Wilson on Oct. 7, 1934, in Niagara Falls, N.Y.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jean (Melanson) Wilson, whom he was happily married to for 62 years. He was predeceased by his daughter, Linda Milefski, who passed away May 1, 2017.
He is survived by and leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his son, Roger Wilson II and his wife, Cynthia, of Oakdale; and a daughter, Rosemarie Bamber and her fiancé, Jimmy, of Norwich; his son-in-law, Michael Milefski of Uncasville; and his grandchildren, Starmarie, Dena, Stephanie, Eric, Lakota, Brooke; and great-grandchildren, Xavier, Tianna, Michael and Elizabeth; his sisters, Thelma and Nancy; and brother, Ronald and sister-in-law, Mary.
Roger was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and loved by all. He was a Korean War veteran and served on the USS Worcester and USS Baltimore.
Services will be private for the convenience of the family.
