ONLINE FEEDBACK
Here is what readers of theday.com had to say about Bob Stefanowski’s victory in the Aug. 14 Republican gubernatorial primary, a result that surprised many. He faces Democrat Ned Lamont.
“Connecticut is going red.” — Idontlie
“Just hope he’s better than Malloy. Lamont kept losing to Malloy!” — Gary100
“Two bad choices. CT is going nowhere but down.” — WTFD resident
“The final nail in the coffin of CT if Lamont and his radical left wing agenda is enacted. (Lamont) sounds even WORSE than Malloy, the least popular governor in the U.S. Florida is looking better by the hour for my family.” — Waltertoo
“How about pointing out some things that Stefanowski has planned, such as reducing taxes, phasing out the income tax, and imposing term limits.” — Beachrat
“Saving Connecticut is the aim of everyone, as we all live here, work here, and raise our families here. How we get to a point of stability and growth should NOT depend on POLITICS. Political affiliations seem to cloud the fact that we are one people as a nation, and one people as a state. We should be working together, not wasting dollars on name calling and dirt, to disparage others. Pitting Republicans against Democrats, calling them conservatives and liberals? What are we, children? I do think we are regressing backwards when we fight with each other, instead of working with each other. Whoever wins the governor’s seat will need the cooperation and ideas of the state legislature, and that is where voters need to do their homework.” — Deanaldenmorse
“Well the way I read it, the Republican voters have spoken. Regardless who won, you have spoken. I only hope all who posted DID vote. For both sides it was a very low turnout. There will be blame for all kinds of reasons for your own personal candidate not winning, but it came down to the voters’ choice.” — Chuck
