Thomas Arthur Gray, 72, of North Stonington, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2018.
He was born in Hartford, to Lucien and Ruth Pierson Gray, on July 24, 1946.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ann Gray; daughter, Jenifer Murray; Ann’s children, Kerri Davis King Keating, Robert P. Davis, Edgar W. Davis, Jeffrey M. Davis and Timothy J. Davis. A great joy in Tom and Ann’s life was their special relationship with Caroline Weaver Church of Malmesbury, England. He is also survived by grandchildren, Melody and Calvin Murray, Joshua Davis, Campbell and Morgan Davis and Reagan and Brodie Davis.
Tom was predeceased by his grandson, William Henry King III; and his stepfather, Raymond Hubbard.
Tom graduated from Quinnipiac College. He began selling antiques as a teenager and later with Ann continued to sell antiques, conducted appraisals and liquidated estates. Never ready to completely retire from the antique world, Tom and Ann most recently worked for Paul Russ. They operated Antiques & Accommodations, a local bed and breakfast for 21 years. They were inseparable and along with their businesses, shared their lives together in many ways. They were active in their church, St. Andrew Presbyterian, enjoyed their expansive gardens and traveled extensively to Europe, England and winters in Peurto Morelos, Mexico.
Tom leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith, kindness, grace, love and enduring friendships.
How blessed to have been able to be a part of Tom’s life. A celebration of his life will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Saint Andres Church or Wheeler Library, North Stonington.
