Allen Biddford

Uncasville — Allen Biddford, 72, of Uncasville, entered eternal life on Sept. 2, 2018. He was born on Sept. 18, 1945, the son of the late Edith Clark. He was raised by his late grandmother, Evelyn Young. He attended local schools and graduated from Waterford High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran. He married the love of his life, the former Patricia DiMarco, on Nov. 11, 1972, in Groton. Mrs. Biddford survives him.

Allen was a firefighter with the New London Fire Department, retiring after 38 years of service in 2008.

Besides his wife of 46 years, he is survived by two children and their spouses, Todd and Carolyn Biddford of Uncasville, and Carla and Zivin King of Washington, two grandchildren, Jordan (Cameron) Salley and Kailan King, and a great-granddaughter, Kennedy Salley. He was predeceased by two sisters, Betty Biddford and Alisha Clark.

His family will receive relatives and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. The funeral will assemble at 10 a.m. on Thursday and proceed to a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph Church. Interment to follow, with military honors, in St. Mary Cemetery.
