Casey Cizikas scored the tiebreakin­g goal in the third period and the New York Islanders won in their return to the Nassau Coliseum, rallying to beat Columbus on Saturday night. Anders Lee and Anthony Beauvillie­r scored in the second period to tie the score after the Islanders fell behind, and Thomas Greiss stopped 28 shots. Scott Mayfield and Jordan Eberle each had two assists to help New York improve to 10-2-0 against Metropolit­an Division opponents this season. Markus Hannikaine­n and Pierre-Luc Dubois scored for Columbus, which had won two straight. Cam Atkinson had an assist for his 300th career point and extending his point streak to 10 games. Sergei Bobrovsky finished with 26 saves. It was the Islanders' first regular season game in 3 1/2 years at the Coliseum, the team's home from its inception in 1972 until 2015. This was the first of 21 games at the arena as part of a unique arrangemen­t with Brooklyn's Barclays Center, the Islanders' home since the 2015-16 season. Frans Nielsen scored his first goal of the season to break a tie with 8:07 left in the third period and Jimmy Howard made 37 saves, lifting surging Detroit past Boston. Tyler Bertuzzi and Dylan Larkin had second-period goals, and Gustav Nyquist added an empty-netter for the Red Wings, who improved 11-4-1 in their last 16 games after opening the season with just one win (1-7-2) in their first 10. David Backes and Ryan Donato had Boston's goals, and Tuukka Rask stopped 22 shots. The Bruins lost for just the third time in 12 home games this season. Howard and Rask nearly squared off during a second-period scrum, but were stopped by the referees.

Canadiens 5, Rangers 2

Shea Weber and Artturi Lehkonen each scored twice and Montreal snapped a five-game losing streak with a victory over New York. Tomas Tatar also scored for the Canadiens, who won for the first time at home since Nov. 10. Carey Price stopped 20 shots. Jimmy Vesey and Ryan Strome scored for the Rangers, losers in four of their last five games.

Jets 4, Devils 3 (OT)

Mark Scheifele scored his second goal of the game at 4:43 of overtime, and Winnipeg beat New Jersey. Marcus Johansson, Jesper Bratt and Taylor Hall scored for New Jersey, which has lost five straight. Kinkaid stopped 34 shots.
