WOVIOTIS SCHOLARSHIP TAKING APPLICATIONS

The 35th annual Nick Woviotis Memorial Scholarship Award will be presented on May 24 at the Italian Dramatic Club on Goshen Street in New London.

This award is a continuing scholarship to a college-bound high school senior in financial need who, during his/her scholastic career, has distinguished himself both academically and athletically by providing leadership and inspiration for his/ her teammates and classmates. The recipient will be receiving a $2,500 scholarship and will also receive $1,000 each year during the remainder of his/ her college career, making the total scholarship award $5,500. To date, scholarship awards in excess of $250,000 have been granted including $14,000 in 2018. The recipient must reside in New London, Waterford or East Lyme.

Those interested may obtain applications from the guidance directors at New London High School, Waterford High School, East Lyme High School, St. Bernard High School and the Williams School.
