Arthur Samuel Fish Jr.

Pawcatuck — Arthur Samuel Fish Jr., 81, of Pawcatuck, died peacefully surrounded by his family Monday, Feb. 11, 2019, at the Westerly Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife of 42 years, Donna M. Smith Fish, who died in 2010.

Arthur worked for many years as a mechanic for the Town of Groton. He was talented in restoring Studebakers and loved riding his Harley. Every summer he and his wife would take the Harley on a trip down South. He loved his animals: his dog, Jackson; and his cats, Hobo, BamBam and Amber. He was a longtime supporter of St. Jude’s Hospital.

Arthur is survived by his children, John Fish of Norwich, Arthur Fish III and his wife Sharon of Griswold, Scott Fish and his wife Holly of Norwich, Dawn Fish and her fiancé Syere Coleman of Groton, and his daughter-in-law, Jean Chasse of Norwich.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jakob McCann and Ashley Marquardt, Jerred McCann and Alexis Tanguay, Alice Lessing, Stephanie Fish, Alexandra Fish, Marissa Donahue, Chance Fish, Mason Fish, Amanda Fish, Dustin Dean, Carly Dean, Holly Dean and Katelyn Signorino; his great-grandson, Enzo Winston; and many other family and friends.

In addition to his wife, he is predeceased by his son, William Fish; and his daughter, Donna Marie Fish.

Per his request, there will be no services.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Humane Society.

The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl St., historic downtown Mystic, is assisting the family.
