Cabaret in August

Yes, theater lovers, you might be sad that the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center’s summer season is coming to close.

But here’s something to be happy about: it’s wrapping up with what promises to be a wonderfully entertaining Cabaret & Performance Conference.

The conference includes a performance by “Hamilton” actor Daniel J. Watts, a show by theater star Carole Cook (still onstage at age 95!), and Tori Scott’s comic tour de force celebrating “poor life choices and an unconditional love of vodka.”

Barb Jungr, “Barb, Brel, & More!” 8 p.m. Aug. 4; Jungr returns to the O’Neill with a new show featuring songs by songwriters including Jacques Brel, Tom Rush, Elvis Costello and Leonard Cohen

Carole Cook, “Tonight!” 8 p.m. Aug. 6

Junior Fellows, “We Are the Champions: The Music of Queen!” 7 and 9 p.m. Aug. 7; $60

An Evening with the Cabaret Fellows, 8 p.m. Aug. 8
