No. 4 NFA and Fitch boys remain unbeaten

Norwich — Mason Jackson scored 21 points as Norwich free Academy remained unbeaten with a 63-48 boys' basketball victory over Woodstock Academy on Tuesday night.

The Wildcats (12-0) moved up to No. 4 in the latest GameTimeCT/ New Haven Register Top 10 state poll on Monday.

Jared Martin added 19 points for NFA while Aidan Morin scored 12 points for the Centaurs. In other games: • Ajia Brown and Seamus Greaves scored 16 points each as Fitch remained unbeaten with a 57-40 win over East Lyme. Adriel Atad had 12 points for the Falcons (12-0). Chris Carpenteri had 11 points and TJ Horner scored 10 for East Lyme (4-9).

• Aedan Using had 25 points, eight rebounds and six assists to highlight Old Lyme's 80-39 win over Coginchaug in the Shoreline Conference. Ray Doll added 10 points for the Wildcats (10-1) and Brady Sheffield finished with eight points and seven assists.

• Bowen Baker scored 27 points and had eight steals as Wheeler defeated Windham 61-49. Ian Sprackin added 11 points, nine rebounds and six steals for the Lions (7-5) while Nick Larkin had 19 rebounds and Scott Pion scored 10 points.

• Trevor D'Amico scored 27 points as Waterford beat Bacon Academy 72-45. Ryan O'Connell had 15 points and 10 rebounds and Sean O'Connell had 10 rebounds for Waterford (5-8).

• Cory McKeithen made a twisting lay-up with eight seconds left to give No. 2 Windsor the lead for good and then added a pair of three throws with 1.5 seconds remaining to give the Warriors a 48-45 win over No. 1 East Catholic, ending the Eagles' 69-game regular-season winning streak. The game was streamed live on theday.com and a replay is also available for viewing.

H.S. girls' basketball

• Jayden Burns had 19 points and five assists as New London rallied in the fourth quarter for a 66-60 non-conference road win over Cromwell. Joniyah Bland-Fitzpatric­k finished with 15 points and seven rebounds for the No. 8 Whalers (11-3), who also got a big game from Jade Langworthy, who scored 11 points and went 5-for-6 from the foul line in the fourth quarter. Wendy Gethers added nine points, nine rebounds and five steals for New London.

• Zoe Ribeiro scored 21 points, include three 3-pointers, as Stonington defeated Ledyard 53-35 in an Eastern Connecticu­t Conference Division II game. Sophia Bell added 14 points and eight rebounds for the Bears (6-8, 2-5) while Tallie Williams finished with 13 points and eight rebounds for the Colonels (312, 1-5) and Tajeah Winston had 11 points and eight rebounds.

• Maya Hillman scored 17 points and had 20 rebounds as Montville beat Windham 47-35 in an ECC Division III game. Alexis Michon had 13 points and 10 rebounds for Montville (7-6, 2-3).

• Grasso Tech lost to Cheney Tech in a CTC game. Sophie Byrne led Grasso (1-13) with 16 points.

H.S. swimming

• Haddam-Killingwor­th swept a tri-meet, beating Waterford 111-71 and St. Bernard 114-24. Jason Blain of Waterford (3-3) won the diving with a score of 186.20 and the Lancers' 200-meter freestyle relay team of Kody Dow, Dan Estrin, Bryce Dorunda and Theodore Bourez won with a time of 1:55.69. St. Bernard's Jaime Nygaard won the 100 butterfly in 1:06.06.

Women's basketball

• Jessica Lohneiss came off the bench to score 15 points as Mitchell College beat Bay Path 82-37 in the New England Collegiate Conference. Kelsey Hernandez had 13 points, Sam McKenna scored 11 and Jordan Lohneiss scored 10 for Mitchell.
