Noteworthy: UConn will play in its last AAC tournament this weekend and it remains a most startling fact that the Huskies have not lost a game in the seven-year history of the league, going 136-0 overall, 118-0 in regular-season play. UConn has won all six AAC tournaments contested and has had all seven league players of the year, including junior forward Megan Walker, who was just named Friday. UConn coach Geno Auriemma was asked to provide perspective for the unbeaten stat. "I can't really put perspective on it. It's kind of like a lot of other things we've done, you know?" Auriemma said. He compared it to the Huskies' NCAA-record 111-game winning streak, halted at the 2017 Final Four. "Of course that happened," he said Friday with an incredulous laugh. "... Temple is coached by former UConn assistant Tonya Cardoza, in her 12th season with the Owls. Former UConn player Willnett Crockett is in her 11th season as an assistant under Cardoza. Crockett is a 2006 UConn grad who played on two of the Huskies' national championship teams . ... UConn won at Temple 83-54 on Nov. 17. Christyn Williams led UConn with 19 points and Olivia Nelson-Ododa had 15 points and 10 rebounds. Davis had 18 points for Temple.
