ONLINE FEEDBACK

-

Readers of theday.com had plenty to say last week when we published the article about Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden's climate change plan, which would overhaul the nation's energy industry, moving it toward renewable.

“Good stuff. Create the jobs of the future, and by doing so assure that there will be a future for generations to come. Enough denial! Climate change is real and dangerous.”

— Thomas M Moriarty

“More of Biden bull.”

— James Heaslip

“Thomas, the climate deniers are the same people who call COVID a hoax. Science requires the higher intellect of applying and integrating abstract concepts, moral conscience and foresight of implications and consequences. Reality is that fewer of them (deniers) will be around in November to vote.”

— Lucira Jane Nebelung

“Make energy more expensive. Is he gonna help all of us with our heating oil consumption? Does he have a magic furnace? Gonna make me drive a micro car, so I can get killed in an accident? All bs folks. All that will come is a higher bill.”

— Rick O'Shea

“Yea, sure it's all a hoax and if we follow the ‘leftist tree huggers’ prices will go up. Wait until the average temp in July is 115, the water supply is broken and crops fail. What do you think happens to prices then? And, by the way, it's happening NOW!”

— John Ehlers

“Biden is looking to the future for our generation (and for) our children's generation. 2035 is only 15 years and if we can reduce the carbon emissions we must try. Climate deniers are the same folks who called the pandemic a hoax. Until reality hits they go about their usual business until it's too late.”

— George Tryon

“Where is the money coming from to accomplish Biden's proposals?”

— Marian Austin

“Where is the money coming from? How about from all those tax cuts given to the top 1%?”

— Celeste Brown
