Black Wolves re-sign coaching and management staff

Amber Cox, vice president of Mohegan Sun Sports, announced Wednesday that the New England Black Wolves coaching and management staff will return for the 2020-21 National Lacrosse League season.

General manager and head coach Glenn Clark, assistant general manager and defensive coordinator Clem D'Orazio and offensive coordinator Darryl Gibson have all agree to multi-year extensions, Cox said.

"We are thrilled that this talented group is returning to lead the Black Wolves," Cox said in a release. "Glenn and Clem have been diligently working towards building us into a championship team on the field the last several years, and with the addition of Darryl in 2018, had us on the verge of something really special when the 2019-20 season was cut short due to COVID-19.

"They've done a tremendous job assembling a group of players who are committed to growing our sport and organization on and off the field. These three men are proven winners and I believe they can help us finally hang a championship banner in Mohegan Sun Arena for this great fan base."

Clark has been New England's head coach for the last five seasons and added the general manager duties last season. Clark is 44-39 overall, was the 2016 NLL Coach of the Year and guided the Black Wolves to a league-best 8-3 record last season before the NLL was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"Very excited to be back with the Black Wolves," Clark said. "New England is a first-class organization and committed to putting a winning product on the floor. Clem, Darryl and I work very well together, and we have a trust that allows us to challenge each other to become better at our craft. I'm looking forward to working together to build a championship team in New England."

D'Orazio will begin his fourth season with the Pack as the defensive coordinator and second as the assistant general manager while Gibson has been with New England since 2018.
