Why I will cast my vote for President Trump

At least I know what I am getting from this man. If you want to take a chance and see where socialism gets you, vote for the other party.

Most of us can agree, we have the most unconventional president that we have ever had. He can be considered to be narcissistic, crass, abrasive and indelicate, to name a few attributes. He certainly doesn't act very presidential at times.

However, I cannot only consider his personality when I cast my vote.

I will consider that President Trump gave tax breaks to millions of Americans, (which will be rescinded if Joe Biden gets elected). I will consider that he brought thousands of manufacturing jobs back to America. I will consider that, against Democratic opposition, he's pushed for school choice, for enabling inner city youths to have the same opportunities that children in the suburbs have, and that he helped create opportunity zones to help minorities.

Donald Trump has rebuilt a depleted military, is gradually reducing our presence in the Mideast, and revamped the Veterans Administration, giving veterans the choice to receive private health care if needed.

He is the first president to negotiate a successful peace deal between Arabs and Jews. Trump brokered improved trade deals between Mexico and Canada, and imposed tariffs on China for abusive trade practices. His threat to pull out of NATO has resulted in our European allies spending $69 billion more on their own defense.

I will consider that President Trump slashed the price of many prescription drugs, signed the Right to Try Law allowing terminally ill patients access to experimental therapies, and has earmarked billions to stop the opioid crisis.

This president signed the Save Our Seas Act, with funding to clean garbage from the oceans, signed the biggest wilderness protection conservation bill in a decade, and extended offshore drilling bans along our southern coastline.

These are but a few of President Trump's many accomplishments.

Of course, the liberal press won't mention any of them. For all his personality faults, Donald Trump loves this country. He went to Washington to try to fix it. He takes no salary, donating it all to charity.

For these and many other reasons, I will vote for President Trump and the candidates of the Republican Party. At least I know what I am getting from this man.

If you want to take a chance and see where socialism gets you, vote for the other party. Under a Trump Administration, who knows where the next four years may lead us.

Can someone say, “Term limits”?
