College basketball will be making itself right at home in our neck of the woods, courtesy of the Mohegan Sun.

The tribe, in conjunction with the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and Gazelle, announced Thursday its schedule for "Bubbleville"

— a season-opening event that will feature 40 men's and women's teams and 45 games over 11 days from Nov. 25-Dec. 5 at Mohegan Sun Arena.

Many games were relocated to one arena due to COVID-19 concerns. The Mohegan Sun has the ability to provide a controlled environment with "teams and event staff adhering to tribal, government and NCAA healthy and safety protocols and testing requirements."

Teams will stay at the hotel on site and will not be exposed to the public. Teams and referees will be tested for the virus when they arrive, and the Sun can treat and isolate anyone who is infected in a facility on the property.

All games, as of now, will be played without fans.

The UConn men and women will play three games apiece as part of "Bubbleville." The men will be part of the Legends Classic, playing Vanderbilt on Dec. 1 at 5 p.m. and either Southern Cal or BYU in on Dec. 3 in the consolation of championship game at 7 or 9:30 p.m. The Huskies will also play North Carolina State on Saturday, Dec. 5, the final day of competition, at 2 p.m.

The UConn women, meanwhile, will face Quinnipiac in the Hall of Fame Challenge on Nov. 28 at 12:30 p.m. and either Mississippi State of Maine on Nov. 29 in the consolation or championship game at 9:30 a.m. or 3 p.m. The Huskies will then play Louisville in the Jimmy V Women's Classic on Dec. 4 at 7 p.m.

The men's field includes five teams ranked in the Associated Press Top 25 preseason poll — No. 2 Baylor, No. 3 Villanova, No. 4 Virginia, No. 18 Arizona State and No. 20 Oregon. The UConn women are ranked No. 3 in the preseason poll while Louisville is fifth and Mississippi State sixth.
