Mystic — Doris (Santin) Lamb died peacefully Jan.

20, 2021. A lifelong resident of Mystic, she was born in

New London April 25, 1925, the daughter of Joseph S. and Ida Panciera Santin.

She was a 1943 graduate of Robert E. Fitch High School in Groton and the Katharine Gibbs School in Boston, Mass. Doris was married to Horace B. Lamb Jr. in Mystic Aug.

20, 1949. He passed away in 2012. They were married for 63 years.

Doris was a 40-year volunteer of the Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London. She was a member of the Mystic Garden Club and on the board of the Charles B. Allyn Foundation. She was an avid golfer and tennis player into her early 80s. Horace and Doris were members of Ram Island Yacht Club and enjoyed many years sailing on Long Island Sound.

She is survived by her three daughters, Nancy and her husband Michael Handler of Mumford Cove, Patricia Lamb of Hartford and Sally Lamb of Bishops Cove. She is also survived by her granddaugh­ter Sarah Kelley and her husband Christophe­r and their two daughters, Hannah and Emma Kelley of Lynnfield, Mass. Doris was predecease­d by her sisters, Gloria S. Boyce and Jacquelin S. Chapman.

Doris’s daughters would like to thank the staff at Top Sail and Avalon Health Center for their loving care of our mother.

The family will gather privately for a graveside service at Elm Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be made to the Mystic-Noank Library, 40 Library St., Mystic CT, 06355 or a charity of the donor’s choice.
