Norwich — Catherine T. “KayT” Lizzio, 60, of Norwich, passed away peacefully Feb. 5, 2021, at her home in Norwich. She was born April 4, 1960, in Norwich, to the late Rosario and Mary (Sheehan) Lizzio.

KayT was a graduate of St. Bernard High School and the University of Connecticu­t. She was very musical, playing multiple instrument­s, most recently handbells in the bell choir at

Our Lady of Lourdes Church. She worked for more than 30 years at Electric Boat — in recent years, as an HVAC designer where she was well regarded by co-workers and supervisor­s. She enjoyed working on projects in and outside of her home; was an avid gardener, and had unlimited energy for friends and family. She seldom missed traveling to annual Lizzio family reunions.

She is survived by three sisters, Mary Anne Brennan of Manchester, Julie Lizzio of Richmond, R.I., and Rose Lizzio of Norwich; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She also leaves behind a granddaugh­ter, Anna Galczynski and the Galczynski family. She is predecease­d by a brother-in-law, James Brennan.

Family and friends may visit Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Ave., Norwich, from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesda,y Feb. 9, at Our Lady of Lourdes in Gales Ferry. All COVID protocols will be observed. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Boswell Avenue, Norwich. A post-COVID celebratio­n of her life will be planned for a later time when it is safe to gather.
