David Charbonneau
Waterford — David Arthur Charbonneau, 65, of Waterford died Feb. 9, 2021, at home with his wife by his side. He was born Jan. 28, 1956, in Hartford, the son of the late Harvey and Mary Charbonneau.
David graduated from St. Ann’s School and A.I. Prince Technical High School in Hartford, and was a third-generation pipe fitter. He was a member of the Local 777 in Hartford, and received his 40-year pin recently. He was happily married to his wife, Dee, for 22 years.
David was an avid fisherman and built many of his own fishing rods. He was wellknown among local musicians and collectors for his work on repairing and restoring vintage amps.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Roger and Jean Marie Charbonneau; and a nephew, Andrew Charbonneau of Portland; a niece, Katelyn Charbonneau of Groton; a stepdaughter and her husband, Caroline Kate and Sean Keefe of Portland; a son-inlaw, Jack D. Campise; and four grandchildren: Jamie and Alison Choate and Jack T. and Spencer D. Campise of Ellington; an uncle, Stanley Cyrulik of Waterford; and many cousins, friends and neighbors. He was predeceased by a stepdaughter, Dorothy Campise of Ellington.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there are no plans for a gathering at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to Yale New Haven Cancer Research at YHNH Development, P.O.
