Danielson — Margaret Riccio Labriola, 86, passed away peacefully March 1, 2021. She was born May 18, 1934. “Marge,” as she liked to be called, resided at Davis Place in Danielson for the past two years. Marge was predeceased by her late husband of 59 years, Daniel J. Labriola, in March of 2017.

Marge was raised in Hartford and moved to Old Lyme in 1958, following her marriage to Daniel. They have four children who reside in Connecticut, Maryann Labriola, Daniel T. Labriola (Michelle), Patricia Novick (Eric) and Michael Labriola. Marge leaves behind five grandchildren and one who predeceased her in 2016. She also leaves five great-grandchildren.

Marge was always surrounded by so many friends, enjoyed the beach while raising her children, crafts of all kinds, was an amazing cook, involved with PTA, Women’s Auxiliary, CCW, helped everyone whom needed her, never complained and was content with faith in God and also became a Eucharistic minister. Marge and Dan sold their family home in Old Lyme in 1997 and moved to Melbourne, Fla. They settled there and formed many more friendships and fond memories. She became active in her church, “Our Lady of Lourdes” in Melbourne.

Marge moved back to Connecticut in 2017, following the passing of Daniel, to be close to her children.

She leaves behind many friends and memories wherever she had settled.

May God carry her now …. A Catholic Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 2021, at Saint Mary’s Church in Jewett City. Burial for Margaret and Daniel will be determined at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or at https://www.stjude.org.
