Jones has double-double as Ledyard boys edge New London

Ledyard — Jabari Jones had 29 points and 11 rebounds as Ledyard defeated New London 56-46 in an Eastern Connecticu­t Conference South Division boys' basketball game on Friday night.

Dorell Cagle added 12 points for the Colonels (4-5) and Lebron Maurice scored 10.

Rhodia Perry had 14 points and Tayeshawn Cunningham-Pemberton scored 12 for the Whalers (5-3). In other games:

• Jared Martin scored 20 of his game-high 28 points in the second half as Norwich Free Academy raced past Montville, 66-37, in an ECC South Division game. NFA (6-2) outscored the Indians in the second half, 45-18. Maxon Pierre Louis scored 14 for NFA and Ryan Outlow added nine. Chas Terni had 14 points for Montville (1-8) and Isaiah Gallagher scored 11.

• Will Anglin (career-high 20 points) with five assists and three steals was one of five players to score in double figures as East Lyme downed Stonington, 81-51, in an ECC South Division game. Marshall Gada had 14 points, seven rebounds and two blocks for East Lyme (7-2) and Riley Walsh had 14 points, Also, Chris Carpenteri scored 13 and Matt Valakos 10. Camden Hinchey had 22 points for the Bears (1-8) and Nate Cyr scored 10.

• Sean O'Connell had 16 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and two blocks to lead Waterford past St. Bernard, 45-40, in an ECC South Division game. Trevor D'Amico scored 16 for Waterford (6-4). Walker Baillargeo­n had 13 points, Tyson Wheeler had 12 points and Cedrick Similien scored 11 for the Saints (4-4).

• Justin Thuotte had 16 points and Connor Chapman scored 12 for Lyman Memorial in its 54-43 win over Tourtellot­te in the ECC North. Jaiden Lopez had 11 points for Lyman (2-6). Brady Monahan scored 10 for the Tigers.

• Cole Lavigne had 21 points for Killingly in its 74-21 win over Wheeler in an ECC North Division game. Yianni Baribeau had 10 points, 14 rebounds and eight blocks for Killingly (7-2). Lukas Jones scored nine for the Lions (0-4).

• Cromwell beat Old Lyme 74-36 in a Shoreline Conference game Thursday night. Jacob Ritchie led Old Lyme (6-4) with 12 points.

Girls

• Milena Walker had 23 points and Gaby Kramer scored 16 as Waterford downed Fitch, 62-47, in an ECC South Division game. Amy Pinch made four 3-pointers and scored 12 for Waterford (8-2). Alyssa Virtue with 23 points and Charlotte Carney had 10 points and 15 rebounds for the Falcons (6-2). Frankie Foster added eight points and five assists.

• Senior Caitlin Shea scored 15 of her game-high 21 points in the first quarter as Bacon Academy beat Ledyard on Senior Night, 61-44, in an ECC South Division game. Marissa Nudd scored 16 and Valerie Luizzi had nine points, six rebounds and three assists for Bacon (5-1). Also, Victoria Violette had six rebounds and three assists. Natalyah Williams had 20 points for the Colonels (4-5) and Kieara Kirvan scored 17.

• Sophia Bell had 13 points and four rebounds as Stonington beat East Lyme, 48-26, in an ECC South Division game. Sophia Fernholz had 12 points and four assists for Stonington (4-4) and Anne Drago had 10 points and three steals. Izzy Pazzaglia had nine points and Sachi Vora scored eight for the Vikings (1-8).

• Kassidy LaTour had nine points as Lyman Memorial used a strong first quarter to beat Tourtellot­te, 4026, in an ECC North Division game. Kate Anderson had eight points for Lyman (2-6), which outscored the Tigers in the first quarter, 16-3. Alivia Dalpe had 11 points for Tourtellot­te.

• Grace Smith had 13 points as Windham Tech beat Grasso Tech 4426, in a Connecticu­t Technical Conference East Division game. Alyssa Czmyr scored 13 for Windham Tech (9-1). Cindy Holland scored 10 for the Eagles (2-8).

• Amber Culter led Ellis Tech with 18 points in a 35-24 win over Norwich Tech in a CTC East Division game. Ashlyn Bill and Lucie Jones both scored eight for Norwich Tech (0-6).
