New London — Mary Passero Minton, 59, of New London entered eternal life March 22, 2021. She was born March 27, 1961, in New London, the daughter of the late Ernest and Eileen (McGuire) Passero.

A lifelong resident of New London, Mary graduated from St. Joseph Catholic School, St. Bernard High School, and from the University of Connecticu­t with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, and became a certified public accountant. She was currently employed as a traveling CFO for Universal Health Services.

Mary was very active with her children in their youth, participat­ing in activities such as New London Youth Soccer, Girl Scouts, and the Dance Extension. She was a member of the New London Democratic Town Committee and its former treasurer. In her spare time, Mary could be found relaxing with friends and family at Guthrie Beach. She was a loving mother, grandmothe­r, sister, aunt, and friend.

She is survived by her three children, Joseph Minton of New London, Emily Minton and Marc of Texas, Leah Minton, and Jacob of Ohio; her former husband Lee Minton of Niantic; five siblings, Joyce Ann Grabel and George of New London, Michael Passero and Mary of New London, Sharon Spivack of Israel, Kevin Passero of Niantic, and Deirdre Ahern and John of Salem; her two granddaugh­ters who were the light of her life, Lila and Ariana; and several nieces and nephews. She was predecease­d by her brother Thomas Passero.

Her family will receive relatives and friends from noon to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, at the Impellitte­ri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. Family and friends may gather for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Monday, at St. Joseph Church, followed by interment in Jordan Cemetery, Waterford. Donations may be made in her memory, to the donor’s choice of charity.
