Mystic — Frank E. Wellersdieck, 91, of Mystic passed away peacefully at home March 18, 2021. Frank was born in Rockville Centre, N.Y., to Frank and Esther Wellersdieck on Nov. 30, 1929. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Nancy, in 2010.

Frank graduated from Brown University in 1951, and went on to earn a law degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1954, where he graduated fifth in his class. He married Nancy Keplinger in May 1954. After serving in the U.S. Army stationed in Anchorage, Alaska, until 1956, he and Nancy returned to Long Island and settled in Bay Shore. Upon retirement, he and Nancy moved up to Mystic in 1998, to be closer to their grandchildren. Frank cherished the times spent with his granddaughters and being a part of their everyday lives while watching them grow up — always remembered for his strong work ethic, generosity, encouragement and support. He was a passionate reader, noted for his numerous tidbits/clippings and editorials we all received from time to time in the mail.
