Lyman erupts for 25 hits and rolls to 22-11 win over Montville

Montville — Rayne Bobbi went 5-for-6 with six RBI and three runs scored as Lyman Memorial used an 11-run sixth inning to put away Montville, 22-11, in an Eastern Connecticu­t Conference Division III softball game on Wednesday.

Bobbi had a double and a home run for the Bulldogs (15-4, 6-2), who erupted for 25 hits.

Bobbi wasn't the only big hitter for Lyman. Kassidy LaTour went 4-for-5 with five RBI and four runs, including two doubles and a triple, while Lena-Marie Byers had three hits (one a triple) with four runs and two RBI, Ryle Benway had three hits (one a double) with two RBI and two runs, and Loretta Svedarsky was 3-for-5 with a run and an RBI

Reagan Anderson three hits, including a double and triple, while scoring four runs for Montville (5-12, 2-5)) while Christyna Winstead was 3-for-4 with a solo homer and two runs, and Isabel Northrop had a triple and single with two RBI and two runs. In other games:

• Reese Main scattered six hits and struck out nine and Wheeler scored three runs in the eighth inning to defeat Windham 4-1. The Lions (11-4) scored the go-ahead run in the eighth on a base hit by Keelan Groves, who finished with two hits. Main and Marissa Perkins each added a hit and RBI.

• Morgan Cook had four hits, including a home run and double, and score four runs to highlight Norwich Tech's 15-10 win over Parish Hill. Caity Flynn added three doubles and three runs scored for the Warriors (13-2) while Autumn Hanks had a single and double, and Khai Maldonado had a triple and scored three runs.

• Jillian Dykema homered and drove in three runs as NFA beat Killingly 6-2 on Tuesday. Hannah Daniewicz was 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI and stole two bases, Nikki Schulze was 2-for-2 with a double and scored twice and Dykema scored twice for NFA (11-7).

• Old Lyme lost to Cromwell 9-1 in a Shoreline Conference game on Tuesday. Jamie Bucior hit a home run for Old Lyme (14-5, 11-5).
