Frederick Sullivan
Niantic — Frederick K. “Tim” Sullivan, loving husband of Constance “Connie” Sullivan of almost 50 years in June, passed away on May 13, 2022, at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital.
Fred grew up in Belmont, Mass., and moved to East Lyme 43 years ago. He was a graduate of Lowell Technological College with a degree in Civil Engineering. After graduation, he worked for Stone and Webster in Boston. He worked on heavy construction projects throughout his career, including Millstone 3, power plants in Pennsylvania, Texas, and Louisiana, along with extensive work on the New York City subway system.
His is survived by his wife, Connie of Niantic; son Patrick, daughter-in-law Mara and grandsons, Frederick “Fritz” and Maximilian, all of London, England; and his sister Carole Cappello of Marlborough, Mass. His son Timothy, and his parents, Frederick and Ferne Sullivan; brother Robert; and sister Kathleen DeGraffenreid predeceased him.
Visitation hours will be from 1 until 3 p.m. Sunday, May 22, at Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 48 Grand Street, Niantic. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 23, at St. Agnes Church, 22 Haigh Street, Niantic. There will be no procession to the Church. Burial will be held immediately after the Mass in St. Mary’s Cemetery, New London.
