Steven Bousquet
Beulaville, N.C. — Steven Mark “Steve” Bousquet passed away peacefully Thursday, May 19, 2022, after a short battle with cancer. He was a native of Beulaville, N.C., where he resided with his beloved wife Patricia Bousquet. Steven was the son of the late Frederick Ernest Bousquet and Arlene Lisiewski of Norwich.
Steven was born Sept. 8, 1952, and spent the majority of his early years in Connecticut, before joining the USMC and proudly serving his country in the Vietnam War.
He worked as a commercial electrician for many years and was an avid car and boat enthusiast who spent a great deal of time refurbishing, both in garages and boatyards. One of his favorite hobbies was collecting items, ranging from a wide variety of interests including music, art and multiple other collectibles.
Steve was affectionately referred to as “Moondog” by his stepchildren and “Pepe” by stepgrandchildren. He had a knack for building connections using humor with family, friends and new acquaintances. A familiar refrain of “That’s right, that’s right!” confirmed the bond. He had a sneaky high intellect and was well versed on many topics.
Steven is survived by daughters, Mechelle Clarke and Alexis Kowalcyck; brothers, Robert, Glenn and Ken Bousquet; sister Mechelle Lisiewski Bligh; brothers, Joseph and Michael Lisiewski; stepmother Dottie Bousquet; as well as grandchildren, nephews, nieces and cousins. He cherished visits with close friends, Eleanor and Terry. He was predeceased by son Steven; brothers, Frederick Bousquet II, Thomas Bousquet and Richard Lisiewski; and stepfather Joseph Lisiewski.
A private burial with military honors will be scheduled at a later date.
