Atkins, Ark. — Marjorie A. Beebe, 93, passed away

Feb. 12, 2023, in Atkins, Ark. “Marge” was born in Springfiel­d, Mass., to Allora Eaton Russell and Leonard J. Russell.

She was educated in Springfiel­d, Mass., schools. She married Louis Beebe in March of 1949. She completed an LPN program at Norwich Tech. and internship at the Backus Hospital. She worked at a hospital in Fort Stockton, Texas.

Marge was predecease­d by two sisters, Bernice Regan and Roberta Horne; two brothers, Leonard Russell and Bill Russell, all of Springfiel­d, Mass. She was predecease­d by her loving husband of 52 years in November 2001; and her eldest daughter Linda Horr in April 2002.

She is survived by her children: Brenda Beebe of Waterford, Louis Beebe Jr. (Kristen) of Waterford, Jeffrey Beebe (Cindy) of Niantic, Leonard Beebe (Cheryl) of Mystic,

Allen Beebe (Pam) of Hamden, and Bill Beebe (Martha) Atkins, Ark.; son-in-law Scott Horr of Waterford; a brother Richard Russell (Judith) of Belton, S.C.; as well as grandchild­ren, Jennifer Bickford, Ryan Gallo (Marissa), Jamie Horr (Nicole), Leah Beebe, Allora Beebe, Christophe­r Beebe, Alex Beebe, Leonard Beebe (Lisa), Amanda Beebe-Fournier (Patrick), Nicholas Beebe (Emily), Michael Beebe

(Judy), Conrad Beebe; and 18 great-grandchild­ren.

Marge shared her last six years in Arkansas with her youngest son Bill and wife Martha in their loving care.

A memorial service will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 18, 2023, Flanders Baptist Church, 162 Boston Post Road, East Lyme.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marge’s name to Flanders Baptist Church.
