Milford — Terrance Wayne Hutchinson, 81, of Milford, formerly from Voluntown, entered into eternal rest Feb. 17, 2023. Terrance, fondly known as “Hutch,” was born to the late Robert “Bud” Delmar Hutchinson and Amy Louise Cousins, May 22, 1941, in Stonington, Maine. He graduated from Stonington High School in Maine, and was a talented athlete and also enjoyed hunting and fishing. After graduating from high school, Hutch enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served on many shore duty ports, as well as aboard the USS Bushnell and USS Fulton as a foundryman for 22 years.

He enjoyed spending his free time with his family and shooting skeet with his son, Jon. Terrance was a passionate outdoorsma­n, who enjoyed tinkering, welding and locksmithi­ng. He also was an avid reader of Stephen King and Dean Koontz novels, and watched Fox News for hours on end.

Terrance is survived by his beloved wife Katherine (Weed) Hutchinson of 61 years and their two children, Jon and his wife Jeanette (Corriveau) Hutchinson, and children Roxanna, Trevor, Jayson and Jeffrey; and his daughter Cheri (Coon) Hutchinson and her partner John Coon and children Megan (Page) Snow and her husband Tanner Jr., Lee Page and his wife Julie, Sarah Coon and Elijah Coon; great-grandchild­ren, Braylen, Lila and Ezekial; and his loved grandpup, Murphy, “The Murph.” He is also survived by his sister Deena (Hutchinson) Lee and her husband, Ronald of Georgia, and his brother Craig Hutchinson of Stonington, Maine. He maintained a lifelong friendship with Melvin and Janet (Jones) Hutchinson of Stonington, Maine.

Terrance’s family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the Home Based Primary Care Team at the West Haven VA Medical Center for his outstandin­g, profession­al and compassion­ate health care over the past year.

He will always be remembered for his kindness, humor and smile that could light up a room, as well as the many stories he loved to share over and over again … that never got old.
