Groton — Ursula DeFelice passed away Jan. 24, 2024, at the age of 76. She was born in Feilbingert, Germany, in October 1947 to Wilhelm and Hedwig Gennrich.

Ursula was raised in the Rhineland district of Germany, and lived her formative years in the city of Bad Kreuznach. There, while in her teens, she completed a business apprenticeship and attended the Berlitz School to learn English. She later became an employee of the Martini and Rossi Company at their facility in Bad Kreuznach.

There she pursued her interests in nurturing plants and flowers and crafting yarn with various knitting and crochet techniques. She was also a cat and dog person. Caring for her pets gave her huge enjoyment along with the yearly arrival at hummingbirds to her feeder. She worked in retail for years at Styles and the Van Scoy Diamond Mine in Groton.

Ursula is survived by her husband Steve; son Dom; two nieces in Germany, Sabine Wallstein and Tina Gennrich; loving sister-in-law Brenda King; nieces, Natalie Odell, Jennifer Marinucci and Susanne Cavicchi; and nephew Joe Cavicchi.
