los angeles» The Dodgers placed second baseman Howie Kendrick on the 15-day disabled list because of a strained left hamstring and recalled infielder Jose Peraza from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Kendrick, in his first season with the Dodgers after nine years with the Angels, is hitting .296 with nine homers and 49 RBIs in 105 games this season. He was injured while beating out an infield single in the fifth inning of the Dodgers’ 13-6 loss to the Pirates on Sunday night.

Uehara done for season.

Red Sox closer Koji Uehara will miss the rest of the season with a broken right wrist.

Uehara was hit by a line drive off the bat of Ian Kinsler, the final out of Friday night’s game against the Tigers. The Red Sox right-hander stuck his arm out to deflect the ball, then retrieved it and made the play at first base.

Mets activate Cuddyer.

The Mets kept top outfield prospect Michael Conforto in the major leagues despite activating Michael Cuddyer from the 15-day disabled list.

The Mets instead sent third baseman-outfielder Eric Campbell to Triple-A Las Vegas to make room for Cuddyer.
