hous­ton » Klay Thomp­son scored 38 points and Dray­mond Green had a triple- dou­ble as the War­riors over­came Stephen Curry’s ab­sence to beat the Rock­ets 114- 110 on Thurs­day night.

Golden State was blown out by Dal­las onWed­nes­day night for just its sec­ond loss of the sea­son when Curry missed his first game sinceMarch be­cause of a sore left lower leg. But theWar­riors were able to out­last the Rock­ets thanks to the big game by Thomp­son, who made six 3s.

Hous­ton cut it to three on a jump shot by James Har­den with about five min­utes left be­fore Golden State scored the next six points— high­lighted by an al­ley­oop dunk from An­drew Bogut— to make it 111- 102.

Green con­trib­uted a ca­reer­high 16 as­sists and added 10 points and 11 re­bounds.

An­dre Drum­mond had 23 points and 18 re­bounds and for­mer Palmer High School star Reg­gie Jackson added 19 points and nine as­sists, lead­ing the Pis­tons to a 115- 90 vic­tory over the Timberwolves. Duncan to re­turn. Tim Duncan will play Satur­day when San An­to­nio hosts the Rock­ets af­ter miss­ing the pre­vi­ous three games. Duncan sat out the Spurs’ winMon­day against Min­nesota for rest, but he missed the next two home games be­cause of sore­ness in his right knee.
