BUTLER’S 53 POINTS HELP BULLS RALLY PAST 76ERS IN OT

philadelph­ia » Jimmy Butler scored a career- high 53 points and E’TwaunMoore had seven of his 14 in overtime, leading the Bulls to a 115- 111 victory over the 76ers on Thursday night.

Butler also had 10 rebounds and six assists while making 15- of- 30 field goals and 21- of- 25 free throws to help the Bulls, who trailed by as many as 24 points, snap a three- game losing streak. He became the first Chicago player to score 50 points since Jamal Crawford in 2004.

Robert Covington scored 25 points and Ish Smith had 24 for the 76ers, who fell to 4- 37.

Chicago played without star guard Derrick Rose ( knee) and starting center Pau Gasol ( rest). Joakim Noah had six points and eight rebounds in Gasol’s place.

THURSDAY’S HIGHLIGHTS

Kyle Lowry scored 24 points, Cory Joseph added 19 and the Raptors beat the Magic 106- 103 in overtime at O2 Arena in London. DeMar DeRozan had 13 points and 11 rebounds to help the Raptors win their fourth straight game. Victor Oladipo scored 27 points, and Evan Fournier had 21 for Orlando. The Magic lost for the sixth time in seven games. Lowry made two free throws to put Toronto up 105- 100 with 43 seconds left in overtime, but Oladipo answered with a 3- pointer. After Lowry missed a shot, he stole the ball from Oladipo and was fouled by Tobias Harris. Lowry made 1of- 2, making it a three- point game. Nikola Vucevic’s lastsecond shot from near halfcourt bounced off the rim. … Mario Chalmers scored 25 points, including a leaning 19- foot jumper with less than a second left to give the Grizzlies a 103- 101 victory over the Pistons. Chalmers was fouled on the play and missed the ensuing free throw. The shot appeared to miss the front of the rim and the clock ran out with players scrambling for the rebound. … Rudy Gay scored 24 points and hit the game- winning shot with 0.9 seconds remaining to give the Kings a 103- 101 victory over the Jazz. DeMarcus Cousins had his 21st double- double of the season with 36 points and 17 rebounds. Rajon Rondo added 13 assists and six rebounds for the Kings, who are one game behind Utah for the No. 8 spot in theWestern Conference playoff race. Gay hit a 17- foot fadeaway after Joe Ingles’ 3- pointer tied the score at 101 with 4.1 seconds left.
