Milyoni’s John Corpus nowPhotobucket CEO
Photobucket confirmed Friday it replaced itsCEOafter longtime leader Tom Munro and several other top executives quit.
Munro, who became CEO in 2010 after his firm Ontela acquired Photobucket, left in December, said Todd Bars, Photobucket’s director of marketing and e- commerce.
Other December departures included Kate Hare, the company’s chief product officer, and Michael Clark, chief technology officer. Marketing manager Derek Cann also left the company.
“Tom made a decision to leave Photobucket back in December,” Bars said. “Michael Clark and Kate had been with the company for quite some time. They decided to pursue other things.”
JohnCorpus, who joined Photobucket after his social video site Milyoni was acquired by Photobucket in April, is now CEO.
The company has hired Chris Peacock, previously with Wazee Digital, as its CTO.
Photobucket became one of Denver’s best- known Internet firms in the early 2000s as consumers discovered the site was a great place to store and share digital photos.
Munro could not be reached Friday. But his LinkedIn profile shows he joined Seattle 3- D laserprinter startup Glowforge last month. Glowforge was started by Dan Shapiro, Ontela’s founder.
Photobucket, which employs 53, went on a shopping spree last year, picking up mobile apps Lasso and Milyoni. It also raised more than $ 6 million, including a Series F round in October of $ 2.2 million.
