Valt­teri Filp­pula and An­ton Stral­man also scored for Tampa Bay and Steven Stamkos had two as­sists. An­drei Vasilevskiy made 36 saves.

Zdeno Chara floated in the goa­head goal from the left point 29 sec­onds into the third pe­riod and the Bru­ins beat the Sabres 4- 1. Ryan Spooner scored an in­sur­ance goal with 9: 07 left and added two as­sists, and Brett Con­nolly scored into an empty net with 1: 09 re­main­ing. … Win­nipeg rookie Con­nor Helle­buyck be­came the first goalie to shut out Min­nesota this sea­son, and the Jets used an early goal by Blake Wheeler to beat the Wild 1- 0. Helle­buyck, who won his NHL de­but at Min­nesota on Nov. 27 with a 3- 1 de­ci­sion, made 24 saves. … Pa­trick Kane had three goals for his first hat trick of the sea­son and the Black­hawks beat the Maple Leafs 4- 1 for their 10th straight win.
