WILSON PACES N. COLORADO TO ROAD WIN

cedar city, utah» Jordan Wilson scored 24 points and Jordan Davis 16 to lead Northern Colorado to a 90-80 win over Southern Utah on Thursday night, giving the Bears their first road win in eight tries this season.

Wilson, a 5-foot-7 junior guard, extended his teamrecord streak of consecutiv­e double-digit games to 19. He hit a 3-pointer to send the Bears into halftime trailing 36-34. Wilson and Jeremy Verhagen scored back-to-back baskets to kick off the second half with a 38-36 lead, and Davis converted a 3-point play to put Northern Colorado ahead 41-40, a lead they didn’t lose.

Anthony Johnson scored 13 points with nine rebounds for Northern Colorado (6-13, 3-4 Big Sky). Verhagen scored 12 points, Ibrahim Sylla had 10.

Peter Jok scored a careerhigh 29 points and No. 9 Iowa shook off pesky in the second half in posting a harder-than-expected 90-76 victory. Jarrod Uthoff and Anthony Clemmons added 20 points apiece as the Hawkeyes won their eighth straight game and their 12th in a row in the Big Ten Conference, dating to last season. … Elgin Cook scored 26 points to lead Oregon to an 89-81 victory over No. 21 Southern Cal. … A.J. Hammons had 16 points and eight rebounds to lead No. 22 Purdue to a 75-64 victory over Ohio State .…Tyler Ulis scored 24 points to lead four Wildcats in double figures as No. 23 Kentucky bounced back from a loss at Auburn with an 80-66 victory at Arkansas. Jamal Murray added 19 points, Derek Willis 12 and Skai Labissiere 11 for Kentucky, which avoided losing two straight games for the first time since 2014.
