Tim Tebow is scheduled to hold a workout for Major League Baseball teams Tuesday in Los Angeles, a source told ESPN.

More than 20 MLB teams are confirmed to attend the workout, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

For almost the past year, Tebow has been training in Arizona and Los Angeles to hone his hitting and fielding skills in a sport he has not played on a fulltime basis since 2005.

Tebow was an all-state baseball player in Florida that year and hit .494 as a junior.

Kershaw’s optimism growing

“It was a good test,” Kershaw said. “We got to go through sequences, simulating facing hitters. It was all good steps.”

Deal reached on 38 Studios

B providence, r.i.» Rhode Island reached a $25.6 million settlement with two of the financial backers it sued over a disastrous deal with former Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling’s 38 Studios video game company.

The company, founded by Schilling, was given a statebacke­d loan, and taxpayers were left on the hook for about $116 million when it collapsed in 2012.

Playoff schedule released.

The postseason will open with the American League wild-card game on Oct. 4, followed by the National League wild-card game the next day.

MLB also said the World Series will begin Oct. 25.
