The Albanian international put Colorado ahead twice last weekend while recording the first multigoal game by a Rapids player this season. Making his first start since August, Gashi put Colorado up 2-1 with a goal from the penalty spot — it was the first time the Rapids scored a penalty kick this year. The 28-year-old attacker later put the Rapids up 3-2 on a curling, long-distance free kick that was voted MLS goal of the week. It was the Rapids’ second goal direct from a free kick this year — Gashi scored the other vs. NYCFC. The two-time Swiss Super League golden boot winner leads Colorado with seven goals.
