Je≠co teacher accused in sexual assault of runaway

jefferson county» Sheriff ’s deputies arrested a West Jefferson Middle School physical education teacher accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old runaway girl.

Michael Steven Bueno, 48, is being held for investigation of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to a sheriff ’s office news release Wednesday.

A 911 call was made at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday to Jefferson County dispatchers. Deputies found the girl at a “family-owned” cabin in Pine.

Bueno, also an assistant football coach at Conifer High School, was inside the cabin.
