Brrr-y the hatchet

Greeley resident Tommy Farmer, top, swings a hatchet to make a “broken snow globe” sculpture Thursday at the first Berthoud Snowfest. Nine Colorado teams are competing in the snow-carving competition. Teams are also using barbed wire, brushes, saws and other items to create their works.
