Drive carefully

-

A town in western Colorado recently approved a business license for a drive-through marijuana shop. The proposed store, Tumbleweed Express, is expected to open in March in a former car wash. State officials say it’s the first store of its kind in Colorado. Parachute’s town manager says the community got almost 30 percent of its sales tax revenue from marijuana last year and that its marijuana business helps attract travelers who spend money at restaurants and other stores. The Colorado Department of Revenue said the state made almost $200 million in taxes and fees from marijuana sales.
