Era-hopping at McNichols

- — Sara Grant

friday. Any event that pays homage to bathtub gin is an event I can get behind. Through the fall, there are events planned as part of the McNichols Project. The three-event series will explore different eras in which you can lose yourself in art, food, drink and live music to carry you back in time. The first of these will be the Jazz Project on March 17 at 7:30 p.m. A celebration of bootleggers and flappers, guests will sip Prohibition cocktails and listen to live jazz from the Dave Devine Trio while exploring multiple floors of art. While the buzzing city basements of the 1920s and 1930s didn’t have food trucks like this event will, that’s still the vibe you can expect. Tickets are $30 at mcnicholsproject.com. 144 W. Colfax Ave.
