A promising premise has the title X-Man (Hugh Jackman) and Professor Xavier (Patrick Stewart) stricken with old age, but the movie, which has them guiding Mexican children over the border, becomes relentlessly, gruesomely violent, and the kids get some of the worst of it. (2:15) R
