SKIER DIES ON PIKES PEAK

teller county» A skier died as a result of a fall Sunday in the Glen Cove area along Pikes Peak Highway, Teller County sheriff ’s Cmdr. Mark Morlock said.

Details about the fall were limited. Media reports indicated the skier was a 48-year-old woman.

Morlock said medical workers tried to revive her.

She was skiing with family on the Little Italy Couloir trail, TV reports said.

“Recovery efforts are underway at this time,” Morlock said about 4:40 p.m. Sunday. The Gazette
