“Kid Gorgeous” strikes twice at Buell

Stand-up and increasing­ly visible theatrical presence John Mulaney (“Oh, Hello”) has added a second show to his “Kid Gorgeous” tour stop at the Buell Theatre on Nov. 11. Tickets for the 10 p.m. set, which follows his previously announced (and now sold-out) 7 p.m. set, went on sale this week. We’d recommend not missing this one, as Mulaney has been at the top of his game the past few years — his ill-fated Fox sitcom not withstandi­ng. ($29.50-$39.50, axs.com) Haim, the SoCal soft-rockers that launched countless ill-considered fashion choices, return for a show at the Ogden Theatre on Sept. 13. Tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. June 30. ($35-$40, axs.com) Grateful Dead tribute act Dark Star Orchestra, which just turned 20, is mounting a threenight stand in the friendly environs of the Boulder Theater Sept. 28-30. ($37, axs.com) Reliable road dog and country shapeshift­er Dwight Yoakam returns for a night at the Pikes Peak Center in Colorado Springs on Aug. 2, with tickets on sale earlier this week. ($48-$58, axs.com) Colorado favorites Stringdust­ers return for a twonight stand at the Ogden Theatre Oct. 27-28, with opening sets from Pert Near Sandstone (Oct. 27) and Midnight North (Oct. 28).
