- By Benjamin Arthur

The Nuggets dropped their fourth game in five tries in the NBA summer league, losing Thursday to the Brooklyn Nets 85-74 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

Shooting guard Malik Beasley led the Nuggets in scoring with 20 points. He also grabbed seven rebounds.

The Nets had control of the game from the opening tip. They never trailed and led by 20 points with just under eight minutes remaining. Brooklyn shot 45.3 percent from the field and held Denver to 32.1 percent shooting for the game.

Isaiah Whitehead paced Brooklyn with 14 points, four assists and three rebounds.

Beasley has led the Nuggets in scoring in all but one game in Las Vegas — Torrey Craig had 27 points and 11 rebounds in Denver’s lone victory, over Houston.

The Nuggets have at least one more game Friday. The schedule is to be determined.
