TI­TANS’ CASEY AC­CEPTS FOUR-YEAR, $60M DEAL

TENN.» The Ti­tans agreed to a NASH­VILLE, mul­ti­year ex­ten­sion with two-time Pro Bowl de­fen­sive tackle Jur­rell Casey.

The team an­nounced the ex­ten­sion Fri­day as the Ti­tans went through their con­di­tion­ing test.

Casey still had two sea­sons re­main­ing on his cur­rent con­tract. ESPN re­ported that Casey re­ceived a four-year, $60.4 mil­lion ex­ten­sion.

The Ti­tans drafted Casey in the third round in 2011. He has missed two games, play­ing in 94 with 33 sacks, 41 tack­les for loss and 106 quar­ter­back pres­sures. He is the team’s first back-to-back Pro Bowl de­fen­sive player since 2007-08.

Third Cow­boys line­man sus­pended.

A third Cow­boys de­fen­sive line­man will miss the start of the sea­son be­cause of a sus­pen­sion.

The NFL said de­fen­sive end Da­mon­tre’ Moore has been sus­pended with­out pay for the first two games of the reg­u­lar sea­son for vi­o­lat­ing the league’s sub­stance­abuse pol­icy.

De­fen­sive end David Irv­ing and de­fen­sive tackle Randy Gre­gory al­ready were sus­pended.

Raiders’ Penn plans to hold out.

The Raiders ar­rived for the start of train­ing camp amid re­ports that left tackle Don­ald Penn plans to hold out.

Penn, 34, is en­ter­ing the fi­nal year of an $11.9 mil­lion, two-year con­tract he signed with the Raiders last off­sea­son and is re­port­edly seek­ing to rene­go­ti­ate the terms. Penn is sched­uled to earn $5.8 mil­lion in base salary this sea­son, with an­other $1.3 mil­lion in in­cen­tives and bonuses.

Kizer has first-team reps as Browns QB.

OHIO» DeShone Kizer said he’s not BEREA, rush­ing to be a starter. The Browns may have other plans.

Cleve­land’s rookie quar­ter­back is tak­ing snaps with the start­ing of­fense and seems to be gain­ing on vet­er­ans Cody Kessler and Brock Osweiler in their com­pe­ti­tion to be the Week 1 starter.

Kizer started 23 games at Notre Dame and was drafted in the sec­ond round this year. He ac­knowl­edged the Browns have “thrown me into the fire.”
