TITANS’ CASEY ACCEPTS FOUR-YEAR, $60M DEAL

TENN.» The Titans agreed to a NASHVILLE, multiyear extension with two-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Jurrell Casey.

The team announced the extension Friday as the Titans went through their conditioni­ng test.

Casey still had two seasons remaining on his current contract. ESPN reported that Casey received a four-year, $60.4 million extension.

The Titans drafted Casey in the third round in 2011. He has missed two games, playing in 94 with 33 sacks, 41 tackles for loss and 106 quarterbac­k pressures. He is the team’s first back-to-back Pro Bowl defensive player since 2007-08.

Third Cowboys lineman suspended.

A third Cowboys defensive lineman will miss the start of the season because of a suspension.

The NFL said defensive end Damontre’ Moore has been suspended without pay for the first two games of the regular season for violating the league’s substancea­buse policy.

Defensive end David Irving and defensive tackle Randy Gregory already were suspended.

Raiders’ Penn plans to hold out.

The Raiders arrived for the start of training camp amid reports that left tackle Donald Penn plans to hold out.

Penn, 34, is entering the final year of an $11.9 million, two-year contract he signed with the Raiders last offseason and is reportedly seeking to renegotiat­e the terms. Penn is scheduled to earn $5.8 million in base salary this season, with another $1.3 million in incentives and bonuses.

Kizer has first-team reps as Browns QB.

OHIO» DeShone Kizer said he’s not BEREA, rushing to be a starter. The Browns may have other plans.

Cleveland’s rookie quarterbac­k is taking snaps with the starting offense and seems to be gaining on veterans Cody Kessler and Brock Osweiler in their competitio­n to be the Week 1 starter.

Kizer started 23 games at Notre Dame and was drafted in the second round this year. He acknowledg­ed the Browns have “thrown me into the fire.”
