REDBARRE TEASES 4,000 JOBS, FACILITY IN PARKER

- — John Wenzel, The Denver Post

A massive video production facility planned for Parker could create more than 4,000 jobs for the south metro area, officials teased in a press announcement Wednesday.

The Redbarre Digital Media & Technology Campus would occupy about 1.9 million square feet of mixed-use space in the Compark Village subdivision, just north of E-470 and west of Chambers Road in Parker.

The planned campus would include a 70-acre soundstage “unlike anything in North America,” according to the press statement.

The news will be officially released Aug. 11.

Redbarre, whose clients include HBO, MTV and ESPN, plans to partner with the Town of Parker and the Panasonic City

NOW smart-technology project to open the facility in 2020.

The project has not been formally submitted to Parker officials, but backers have been “doing their due diligence,” Parker’s deputy director of community development Jason Rogers said.

“The council has been made aware of this for some time, but we don’t have a project on file or currently under review.”
