Two men with deficient shaving habits, dubbed the “5 o’clock bandits,” are suspects in six metro-area bank robberies.

During the robberies, the suspects passed notes demanding money, according to the FBI Rocky

Mountain Safe Streets Task Force. The robbers disguise their identities by growing out facial hair and wearing hats and glasses. No weapons have been seen, and no one has been injured.

The robberies have occurred at:

Chase Bank, 5800 Parker Road, Parker, Feb. 2

Chase Bank, 16750 E. Quincy Ave., Aurora, July 28

Bank of the West, 700 Abilene St., Aurora, Aug. 4

Citywide Bank, 13700 E. Arapahoe Road, Centennial, Aug. 9

TCF Bank, 9600 Washington St., Thornton, Aug. 11

TCF Bank, 15350 E. Sixth Ave., Aurora, Aug. 16

The first suspect is described as a white or Latino man, about age 35, 5foot-8, with a medium build. The second suspect is described as a white or Lationo man, about age 35, 5-foot-10, with a thin build. Both have facial hair.

Man fatally shot in northeast Denver is identified.

A man who was fatally shot in northeast Denver has been identified. An Nguyen, 38, died at Denver Health Medical Center of a gunshot wound, according to the medical examiner’s office.

Nguyen was shot at about 8 p.m. Friday in the 2600 block of Albion Street, according to police. The coroner’s office on Monday determined his manner of death was homicide.

Police are looking for two suspects. Anyone with informatio­n on the shooting or the suspects is asked to call 720-913-7867.
