5A No. 2 Rock Canyon (5-1) at 4A No. 4 Cheyenne Mountain (0-1), 6 p.m. Thursday

The 5A No. 2-ranked Rock Canyon Jaguars have yet to lose to an instate opponent this year as the blocking of junior middle hitter Macy Rushall, the libero play of sophomore Kaylee Mejia and the passing of junior setter Abi Leitner have been a dangerous complement to star senior outside hitter Keeley Davis. But 4A No. 4 Cheyenne Mountain has firepower to match, as epitomized by senior outside hitter Kinley Coe. Senior outside hitters Riley Snyder and Dana Thomson headline a Wildcats attack that had an impressive performance during the team’s 3-1 showing at the Regis Jesuit Jam Tournament last week, while fifth-ranked Valor Christian is in the early 4A championship conversation thanks to a trio of senior outside hitters in Courtney Lane, Lily Thomason and Ashley Larson. Boulder’s Omar Castruita Boulder (4-0) at Fort Collins (3-0),

4 p.m. Thursday

The 5A top-ranked Panthers have already passed early-season gut checks with wins over No. 3 Broomfield and No. 5 Fairview, but junior Omar Castruita and Boulder will again need to play their best in a road showdown against the sixth-ranked Lambkins, who has featured six different scorers. Rangeview (0-2) at Eaglecrest (3-2),

1:30 p.m. Saturday, Legacy Stadium

The Raiders are off to a winless start after a season-opening overtime loss to Arapahoe and then a setback to No. 2 Denver East, but sophomore striker Braidon Nourse and Rangeview can get back on track with a triumph over an Eaglecrest team coming off a 7-0 rout of Poudre on Tuesday.
