NEW three-run homers for a career-best six RBIs, Todd Frazier hit a three-run homer that chased Wade Miley with one out in a six-run first inning, and the Yankees routed the fading Orioles 13-5 on Thursday night.
Judge hit an opposite-field drive over New York’s bullpen in right-center in the fourth against Mike Wright, then lined a 448-foot drive into the second deck in left in the sixth off Rich Rodriguez. Judge has 43 homers and 96 RBIs, and with 27 homers at Yankee Stadium this year broke the ballpark’s season record set by Curtis Granderson in 2012.
Rediscovering his stroke after a prolonged second-half slump, Judge had his second multihomer game in less than a week and is hitting .462 with 11 homers and 24 RBIs against the Orioles this season. When he reached the dugout after the second drive of his fifth multihomer game, Judge was given the silent treatment by Didi Gregorius, who then burst into a wide smile.

The Cardinals, who are chasing the first-place Cubs in the National League Central and the Rockies in the wild-card standings, have won five of their last six and nine of 12. … Rhys Hoskins homered again and Freddy Galvis and Jorge Alfaro also went deep in the Phillies’ seven-run second inning to lead Philadelphia to a 10-0 victory over the slumping Marlins. Hoskins’ two-run shot gave him 18 home runs in 34 games since his call-up from Triple-A on Aug. 10. The Yankees’ Gary Sanchez previously held the record for fastest to 18 homers. Sanchez needed 45 games. … Avisail Garcia went 5-for-5 and drove in a career-high seven runs, Yoan Moncada scored five times and the White Sox pounded out 25 hits while routing the Tigers 17-7. … Drew Pomeranz pitched six innings of one-run ball, and Andrew Benintendi had three hits and drove in three runs to lead the AL East-leading Red Sox past the Athletics 6-2. … Rookie Victor Robles was part of a pair of two-run rallies, Tanner Roark pitched six strong innings and the Nationals

Astros pitcher Mike Fiers was suspended five games for throwing a fastball over the head of Angels infielder Luis Valbuena in an act of retaliation. Major League Baseball also fined Fiers an undisclosed amount. … The Indians have activated top reliever Andrew Miller, who has been on the disabled list during Cleveland’s AL record winning streak. … The Red Sox activated left-hander David Price from the disabled list. Price went on the 10-day DL on July 28 with left elbow inflammation.
