A second consecutive Colorado castoff will face his former team when Chacin, a mainstay in the Rockies’ rotation from 2009-14, returns to Coors Field. The Rox cut Chacin late in spring training before the 2015 season. He then bounced between the Diamondbacks, Braves and Angels before finding a spot in San Diego, where he has been the Padres’ best pitcher this season. He took a loss to the Rockies on June 3, giving up four runs over six innings. Gray struck out 10 batters over seven innings in his previous start, a win at Arizona. Monday: Off
